FAQ

How to choose the right punching bag for your workout.

IBF Iron Body Fitness heavy punching bags weigh between 75 and 125 pounds and are used for practicing kicks and punches. These punching bags are usually hung from ceilings. With traditional hanging bags, the main thing to consider is whether you're willing and able to anchor the bag permanently into your wall or ceiling. To make sure that your heavy bag is the right size for your needs and provides enough resistance for proper training, take your own body weight and divide it by two. For example, if you weigh 160 lbs., your heavy bag should weigh approximately 80 lbs. Round up to the nearest available bag weight if you are in-between sizes.

What are the benefits of heavy bag workouts?

Heavy bag workouts help to improve punching and/or kicking techniques. You’ll increase power and strength, build better balance and coordination, and reduce stress.
